Adding an Image to a Question

In version 1.5 and beyond, Quiz Press lets you show an image with each question.
List of supported formats: JPEG, GIF, PNG, PDF**, PICT*, BMP*, Photoshop*, Targa*, Tiff*
* Use of this format requires installation of QuickTime™
** Mac OS X Only

You must be using version 1.5 or higher of Quiz Press to use this feature. You can download it here.

Method 1: Using an Image File

  1. Find the question that you want to add an image to (or create it).
  2. Click the Media button. A menu should appear. It's a button aligned with the right edge of the Question field and directly above it. (The blue-green image represents a painting of a seascape.)
  3. Choose Load Multimedia File... A file browser dialog should appear.
  4. Windows: Change the filter to reflect the type of image you want to load (e.g. Choose "Image File JPEG (*.jpeg; *.jpg )" to load a JPEG image. ).
    Mac: Skip this step, any available image files show automatically.
  5. Select the image file and dismiss the dialog.
  6. You should now see your image in the multimedia preview window.

Method 2: Using Drag and Drop.

  1. Find the question that you want to add an image to (or create it).
  2. Drag and drop an image file (or if your image program supports it, drag and drop the image itself) onto the right hand side of the Quiz Press window.
  3. You should now see your image in the multimedia preview window.

Method 3: Using the Clipboard (a.k.a. Copy and Paste).

Note: Currently this method only works on Mac OS X.
  1. Copy the image to the clipboard from your favorite program (we've tested the following programs: iPhoto, Photoshop, Illustrator, Grapher, Appleworks and the Finder)
  2. Find the question that you want to add an image to (or create it).
  3. Click the Media button. A menu should appear. It's a button aligned with the right edge of the Question field and directly above it. (The blue-green image represents a painting of a seascape.)
  4. Choose Paste Multimedia From Clipboard.
  5. You should now see your image in the multimedia preview window.
