Quiz Press

Upload to the web using NetStart Class/Enterprise from EZTask™

We don't recommend using NetStart because some of the features of Quiz Press are unavailable on this system. You can upload one text-only Quiz Press quiz at a time (no multimedia). If you would like more options, please call NetStart (800) 921-6764 and ask them to support uploading folders/directories so you can use more Quiz Press features. We have already made this suggestion.
  1. Login to the NetStart system.
  2. Add a new page with the "Add More Pages" button in the lower right.
  3. Choose "Download" as the page type.
  4. Choose a good name for your quiz (e.g. "Spanish Chapter 1 Quiz").
  5. Press the "Add to My Site" button.
  6. Press the "Continue" button.
  7. Select your newly created page with the radio buttons at the left and press the "Edit" button.
  8. Choose either layout (it doesn't matter which you choose because we will be hiding this page).
  9. In Content Area 1 type "index.html" as your Headline.
  10. Press the "Upload" button. Now press "Choose File" from the new window that appears. Here you will find the "index.html" file that Quiz Press created as part of the Export. You will be linking to this page later.
  11. Press the "Add More Content Areas" link.
  12. Repeat the last 2 steps until you have 3 content areas that contain the following files that Quiz Press created: index.html, qp_live.swf, and quiz.txt. NOTE: Because Netstart uploads all of its files into the same directory, it is currently impossible to have more than 1 quiz on an account at a time. If this is limiting you, please contact us (512) 853-9645 and NetStart (800) 921-6764 and let them know.
  13. Click the "Continue" button.
  14. At this point you are technically done, but we want to clean-up the interface to the quiz.
  15. Select your newly created page and click properties.
  16. Click "Exclude this web page" on the window that appears and press "Submit"
  17. Now create a link to the index.html file from one of your other pages. Select the page you want to link from and press "Edit". In the content area of one of these pages add HTML like the following <a href="http://<your_website_here>/upload/index.html">Click here for the quiz</a> You will need to replace <your_website_here> with your class web address.
